Test your skills
In England, millions of people struggle with their maths and English skills, so if you do have problems you are not alone.
If you’re not sure whether or not you need help, you can test your maths and English skills online.
Will I have to take a course?
Taking a course in maths or English is the best way to improve your skills. If you’ve been out of learning for a while, going back can seem scary, but it really doesn’t need to be. Learning as an adult isn’t like being at school. You’ll be with people who are trying to achieve the same thing so you’ll all be able to help each other out.
How does this fit around work?
It’s never been easier to fit a course around your other commitments.
You can choose whether you want to learn in the day or evening, part-time or full-time or even online. Plus, courses are often run in libraries and community centres so you won’t necessarily need to go to a college.
